Sarah Boyd

Sarah Boyd is a product sustainability domain expert for electronics within Sphera, and has led projects with leading brands in the ICT, electric mobility, aerospace, construction and consumer products sectors. In addition to her role as a senior consultant at Sphera, Sarah has led internal data development projects and managed the centralized GaBi LCI databases for North America. The second edition of her book “Life-cycle Assessment of Semiconductors” was released in 2013, published by Springer. Previous to Sphera, Sarah worked internationally for engineering leaders in the semiconductor and automotive industries, and conducted research for the Sustainability Consortium in the Electronics Working Group. Sarah holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where her doctoral thesis subject was LCA of Semiconductors, and a B.S. from Stanford University.
